   Winning the cricket world cup 2011 captain Cool MS Dhoni has proved that having a Calm and Composed captain is very important for any side to do well in a big competition. This is one reason why MS Dhoni led Chennai Super Kings (CSK) is amongst the most formidable teams this season as well. While CSK will look out to protect their crown as champions all other teams will look to make a mark in this year’s revamped Indian Premier League.The team in focus for the first day of the IPL  will be Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR). KKR have bought the costliest player of this year’s auction Gautam Gambhir who also appears to be the captain of side. Gauti will surely have a point to prove when he comes out as the KKR captain.

        On the other hand, Kumar Sangakkara who had recently stepped down as captain of Sri Lanka will lead Deccan Chargers. He will surely have a point to prove in this year’s edition as things just didn’t go right for him in the cricket world cup 2011 final. Similarly, his team-mate Mahela Jayawardene who stepped down as vice-captain after of the world cup will lead the new entrant Kochi Tuskers. The biggest challenge for Jayawardene will be to handle the fiery bowler Sreesanth. But the presence of his old pal Muttiah Muralitharan might make things easy for him.Riding on a high after been awarded as man of the tournament in world cup 2011, Yuvraj Singh will captain Sahara Pune Warriors. It will be quite interesting to see how Yuvraj leads the team and how things pan up for the Pune team.

          For Delhi Daredevils it seems as if the team is depleted by quite a fair amount from the previous editions of IPL. But nonetheless they have some of the game changers and players who will strive hard to perform. Virender Sehwag is back as the captain of the side and he has a whole new bunch of players deal with. The Delhi team enters this contest as a dark horse which might spring a few surprises. Another team which seems to be quite depleted is Kings XI Punjab. The Kings XI has a new captain in Adam Gilchrist who will make sure that the team doesn’t go down without a fight.

            The Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has a new captain in Daniel Vettori who will look to make an impact on this year’s IPL. Daniel Vettori is amongst the captains who have stepped down just after the cricket world cup. Shane Warne will lead Rajasthan Royals and will certainly hope for a fairytale win like the first season.But two teams which certainly look quite the same as in the previous year are Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians. With the master blaster Sachin Tendulkar leading Mumbai and MS Dhoni leading CSK it will be a pleasurable sight to see both these titan....
