Ind vs Aus – India vs. Australia score: Sachin Tendulkar slams 200 but Kangaroos fight back
The 4th day of the 2nd test between India and arch rivals Australia has commenced on an interesting note as Indian tail crumpled setting up the match for an intriguing climax.
Coming on to bat at 191, Tendulkarslammed his 6th double century but fell for 214 as one ball nicked his bat and hit the stumps. Young Peter George would probably cherish this wicket for the rest of his life; this being his maiden test wicket and that, too, of the master blaster.
After Tendulkar’s departure, the tail just crumpled as India lost its final 5 wickets for a mere 9 runs getting to 495 all out taking a marginal lead of 17 runs over the kangaroos. Spinner Nathan Hauritz who had been struggling initially going for over 150 runs snatched the final two wickets to put a premature brake to Indian wheels.
Going into the lunch, Aussies must be pretty pleased with the way the morning session shaped up for them. Now, with neither side at any significant advantage, the match lies open and a result is possible in favour of either of the sides.
