The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is going to present the Polly Umrigar Award to the Master Blaster, Sachin Tendulkar, in an awards ceremony in Bandra at Taj Land’s End on May 31, 2011.The legendary batsman was the best Indian cricketer in the 2009-10 season. He will also receive a prize amount of five lakh rupees for his remarkable performance.
Tendulkar backed up his side and teammates during the ICC World Cup 2011, where they emerged as the victors.This Little Master was exceptional in the World Cup. He scored 482 runs with an average of 53.55.The Indian team took Sachin up on their shoulders and dedicated the victory to the legendary Indian cricketer.Little master has been playing cricket for 22 years and is still not tired. He is mentally strong and physically fit to carry on with amazing passion.
